Chemicals to Watch Out For

Check out the personal care products that you currently use for these harmful chemicals:

1. Surfactants such as SLS/SLES (sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate), ALS/ALES (Ammonium lauryl sulfate, ammonium laureth sulfate). Surfactants are used as foaming agents but cause irritation on our skin and eyes. It's a suspected culprit of skin dermatitis.

2. Preservatives like parabens, BHA/BHT, DMDM hydantoin, formaldehyde/formalin, phenoxyethanol, TEA (triethanolamine). A lot of these preservatives are suspected carcinogens (cancer-causing agents). They weaken our immune system, cause allergies, and premature aging.

3. Emulsifiers such as DEA (diethanolamine) affect our hormones.

4. Moisturizers and emollients like mineral oils, dimethicone, isopropyl palmitate, petrolatum/paraffin, and urea are supposed to soften, relax and soothe the skin but they end up clogging pores, worsen acne, and may even cause cancer.

5. Artificial fragrance such as parfum and phthalates cause allergies and, worse, damage the liver and reproductive organs.

6. Anti-bacterial agents like triclosan cause endocrinal and reproductive malfunctions.

You will NOT find these chemicals in Human Nature products. Instead, Human Nature uses all-natural oils and extracts that perform the same (if not better) function.
